Mission

“We developed Blinking Brake Lights out of a genuine concern for driver safety. Each year, rear impact collisions, as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, account for more injuries than any other type of automobile accident. However, with Blinking Brake Lights, we aim to reduce the reaction time of drivers behind you, significantly decreasing the likelihood of rear-end collisions.”

Fact

“80% of car accidents are rear-end collisions. Don’t be a victim or statistic. Stay visible in challenging conditions like darkness, bad weather, or low visibility due to factors like snow and fog. Some periods of the year have earlier darkness, increasing your risk of being on the road after dark. Additionally, rear vehicle drivers may be distracted, impaired, or intoxicated. Don’t become a victim. Rear-end crashes make up over 29% of all accidents, often due to delayed or failed responses to a stopped or slowing lead vehicle (NHTSA, 2007).”

Goal

The goal of blinking brake lights is to enhance vehicle safety by increasing the visibility of a braking vehicle to drivers behind it. By having the brake lights flash or blink when the driver applies the brakes, this feature aims to capture the attention of trailing drivers more effectively.
